Infra Red Systems

Infra red techology is often presented as a great alternative to induction loop systems. Large installations such as theatres often favour infra red as it not only easier to install, but its dual channel can also be utilised for provision of commentary over performance.

 The only negative that clients have about infra red is that personal listening devices have to be issued to allow the hearing aid wearer to collect the sound from the infra red system. It is the management of these devices that large venues find difficult, often having to ask for a deposit to ensure the return of the listening devices.
